Hey dolls!
As some of you may already know, I was in Los Angeles at the beginning of the year on holiday. On the very day we arrived (yes, we wasted no time), we headed out to Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Place Mall. My friend Emi wanted to buy a few things from kitson and that's were I found these the NCLA Nail Lacquers. I've been using these polishes for two months now and I really wanted to put them to the test before posting them on this blog.
I had never heard of this brand before, so I bought a few nail lacquers to try out. At first, I was a bit taken back by the price, $16 a bottle. I don't mind paying that amount, but it's a little unsettling when you don't know what you're getting.
NCLA Los Angeles is a cruelty free company and none of their ingredients/products are ever tested on animals ( a huge bonus in my book). Also, their nail lacquers do not contain DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, or Camphor.

The nail lacquers I purchased were: Bel-Air Trophy Wife, Miss Sunset Strip, Malibu Beach Babe, and Pick Me Up At Melrose Place.
Warning: Please excuse the condition of my nails, I broke two and in frustration, I cut them way, way too short.
Bel-Air Trophy Wife
Bel-Air Trophy Wife is a metallic, almost foiled bronzy mauve taupe.
Miss Sunset Strip
Miss Sunset Strip is a clear base with various sizes of purple glitter.
Malibu Beach Babe (darker in person)
Malibu Beach Babe is a mid-tone teal creme.
Pick Me Up At Melrose Place
Sadly, I was very disappointed with these polishes. I really wanted to love them (especially since they were $16 and cruelty free), but alas the quality was lackluster. Although all four have a thick formula, I found that they needed a minimum of three coats and more to smooth out any imperfections. Once dry, they just look dull on my nails, even the glitter looked bland. Also, they chip within 24hrs of wear, not something I expect from a $16 nail lacquer. Regrettably, I can't recommend these polishes to anyone based on their poor performance; and for $16, just stick to Deborah Lippmann or Butter London.I'll probably give these polishes away to anyone how wants to try them, or just throw them away.
