First Impressions: Dior Grand Bal 5 Couleurs in 524 Night Golds and 764 Fairy Golds

This is my first ever "first impressions" post. As I haven't had time to properly test all of the eyeshadows in the two palettes I can't do a proper in-depth review as I would normally, but I still wanted to get my opinion out there while it's still relevant and it could benefit a few on-the-fence buyers.

As mentioned in my Haul/Spending Ban post I bought both the palettes, I just couldn't help myself! They are similar, but also completely different. My Dior 5 Couleur Palette in 734 Grége is already my favourite eyeshadow palette and the quality of the shadows are amazing. Lasts all day, no to minimal fallout and amazing colour payoff that blends easy.

All I mentioned for the formula of my 734 Grége palette is true for the colours I've tried of these as well; Amazing colour payoff, blends effortlessly and lasts from morning until evening, or even after that. If you know your going out after work, you could apply these in the morning and they would still look as good as new for going out after work!

The only shadow I am a bit disappointed with is the black in the middle of 524 Night Golds. It's a bit chalky and not as black as I would have liked it to be, but I think it will be much more black if used wet. Sometimes it's nicer with a black that is less harsh anyway. My favourite shadow so far has been the top left one in 764 Fairy Golds. It's an amazing neutral shade that leans just slightly warm without being orange at all. It gives a gorgeous natural glow and brightens up my eyes, it's amazing! I've loved pairing it with the warm brown (top left) matte shade in my 734 Grège palette through the crease, for a quick and easy, but still polished and gorgeous everyday look.

I find it hard to review eyeshadows as they don't really do anything but look pretty, and these do. They look gorgeous, they are a breeze to use, the colours are interesting and well thought-out. They also last all day. I don't have a bad word to say about them. Seriously; if you're eyeing these and spending quite a bit of money on an eyeshadow palette (or two!) isn't a big problem, I really really recommend getting them! I haven't had a single thought questioning buying these after I got them. In my honest opinion, when the colours are good; 5 Couleurs are the best eyeshadows there is!
